LN Girls Review & Bokwa Fitness!

Hi girlies, I hope you are all having a nice Saturday! Its a bit grey and windy here - boo! Fingers crossed the expected 'heatwave' comes our way!

So far today ive done some washing, cleaning, but best of all, Bokwa! If youve heard of Zumba, you may have heard of Bokwa - it was created by Paul Mavi, a fitness instructor and dancer from South Africa, and is an intense cardio workout that burns ALOT of  calories! It is based on many different 'steps' which each have a letter or number, e.g the X, the O, the B, the list goes on - its SO much fun! Its quite hard to explain unless youve really done it though :/ Heres a video to show you the idea! The instructor will break you in gently and explain it, slowly stepping up the pace! Has anyone else tried this yet??

Aaaaanyhoo, onto the review! Over at Charli's blog, I saw how you could order free samples of Mineral Makeup from a company called LN Girls. Im a newbie to mineral makeup so this was ideal for me.
It is natural and organic, and LN Girls say "Natural Beauty for youthful skin. All skin types LOVE IT! Sensitive, oily, acne and allergic prone skins ADORE IT" which is a plus in my opinion (albeit a little cheesy!)

I hopped on over to http://www.lngirls.co.uk/ and signed up to order my samples, and 3 days later these popped through my door:

I ordered 1 shade of eyeshadow and 2 foundation samples. How cute are the little pots?!

This is Agent X -a light pinky eyeshadow with a hint of shimmer, ideal for a highlight. This one I like and predict I will finish!

Next up, foundation in Cookie.

And lastly, foundation in Bride to Be, lighter than Cookie.

 Swatches left - right
Cookie, Bride to Be, Agent X

The foundation & blushes retail for a bout £12, and the eyshadow for about £8, which seems a little pricey for an eyeshadow in my opinion (for a relatively unknown brand anyway). I would have to say that this hasnt persoanlly converted me to Mineral makeup, but I am glad I got to try it without buying. I found it a little cakey and difficult to work with. Maybe if I had a full size pot i'd be more tempted to persevere with it? I think i'll be sticking with my Bourjois Healthy Mix for now though.

Let me know if you order some samples for yourself & what you order. Ive sent off for a blush too which im hoping I will like more as I have other loose blushes!
Thanks for reading xx

*Sigma Brush Review & Giveaway! *

* * * Now Closed * * *

Hi Bloggers!

I recently hopped on the Sigma bandwagon and signed up to be an affiliate and a beauty representative, and I was very kindly sent the F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush to review. This was my first Sigma brush, and in short - oh my gosh I feel an addiction coming on!

The brush feels sturdy and high quality, and the synthetic bristles are really packed in. I love the softness of this brush, and its fab for buffing foundation onto the skin. I have got a brushes wishlist as long as my arm now, damn you Sigma!

Heres what Sigma say about their brush:

This exclusive flat top synthetic kabuki was designed to deliver a flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation. The long handle adds comfort to your makeup application. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned. Made of Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

Luscious lashes!

Hi Bloggerinis!

Being a blogger, of course I love a good pair of false lashes, and Ive been trying these newbies for a wee while. Im not particularly adventurous with my lashes and prefer the natural looking lashes.

A66 Clear Band Natural Fake Lashes

You get 10 pairs for only £5.28 - how much of a bargain is that?! They are from a company called KKCentre HK, based in Hongkong - their website is here and the link to this product  is here.
Standard shipping works out at about £3 ish. This particular set appealed to me as they were both long and natural looking.

A couple of pairs of lashes were a bit bent when I opened up the box, but that could be down to Royal Mail, grr. (lets not go there). The box itself could be a bit sturdier, but in hindsight they had just come on a journey all the way from Hongkong!

The lashes themselves - I love them! They are long enough to make a difference, and look natural and not too OTT. They feel study, and would definately last some re-useage!

With just mascara:
With lashes:

The 'instructions' made me laugh....!

Has anyone else ordered from abroad? Ive brought things from ebay (nailpolish, fauxnad stamps etc) and theyre always so cheap! What are your thoughts?

* Nail Polish Collection *

Bonsoir Bloggers!

I hope everyone is good! I apologise for the lack of posts recently, I seem to have lost my blogging mojo for a while! Plus I was stressing over half term over a job application so didnt get much time to blog there! It was all worth it though, and I got the job! Woo! I shall be teaching children with special needs in September - my very own class! Anyhooo...

Ive been trying to think of posts to write that dont involve new items, as since I have a mortgage, bills, council tax (yawn) to pay, I dont have as many pennies as I used to! I thought i'd start with my nail polish collection!

I keep them in this WH Smith box (officially for photo's). Its getting a bit small now so I may need to invest in another!

Up until 31st August 2011, if you buy two Malibu drinks in participating bars, you will receive a code to enter on the Nails Inc website to recieve a free Nails Inc Polish! (Click here to visit the site!)

The important details:

You must be 18 or over - responsible drinking now ladies ;)

I really like the look of Malibu Cosmo and Mojito! I shall definately be heading down to a pub to ask if this promotion is running, and shall certainly indulge in a couple of summery beverages!

Primark Treats!

Evening ladies! Just a quick post from me today!

I visited Primark on Oxford street on my recent trip, and picked up a few goodies in amongst the crowds! We were in there till 9pm as we did some late afternoon shopping!
I treated myself to one of the famous £5 dresses! It reminds me of a Hollister style dress, just at a fraction of the price!

I love the print on this one! I did also get the black one with the little horses on but accidentally got a size 6 - oops! It had to go back and sadly Bristol didnt have any in my size - only 6's which was odd!

I picked these cute hair slies for a bargainous £1.50 - theyre so summery and im looking forward to wearing them on a summery day!

And lastly, this top - it was £8 and is made out of a stretchy material and it fits nicely. I like the layering on the sleeves as its a little different to a standard tee.

I didnt find much else clothes wise, but I did pick up some new sheets for our new kingsize bed! They had loads of colours and were reasonably priced too! Plus they come in packs of 2 - 2 bottom sheets, 2 sets of 2 pillow cases etc, a good idea non?

Has anyone else got any Primark bargains recently?
