MeMeMe ~ Beat The Blues ~ Moonbeam

Hello Hello!

I thought id share my recent blog sale purchase with you! I bouth this for the bargain price of 75p!! I bought it from Sinead at Dainty Dollymix! So huge thanks to her!

So, what do I think of Superdrugs Benefit High Beam copy?

In all honesty, i've used High Beam only a few times (borrowed from my friend Emily!) so imnot the greatest expert, but id say im glad I paid alittle for this product rather than a lot for the benefit one! (lathough if I had a bottle of High Beam, I wouldnt complain!!)

Well, seeing as im on my quest for the perfect highlighter, this illuminator allows me to use this as an every day look, its not too heavy, and just right for me (I teach, so heavy make up is a no no, but a teachers still gotta look good, right?!).

The only thing I would say it that you need to make sure its blended evenly!

Overall im very pleased with my hugggge bargain! has anyone else tried this? Thoughts please :)

Recent Buys - 2 - 17 Blush and Glow *

Hello again! Okayyyy, so the other item I wanted to share was my new Blush and Highlighter from 17.

Now, I am constantly on the look for a new highlighter, as my current Revlon one looks like this:

Since the photo was taken, it has got smaller and smaller :'( Sob, I heart it so :(

So, after searching high and low for a high street brand as a suitable replacement, as I mooched through Boots with the Boy, my eyes landed on this beaut

I chose Strawberry Swirl - swatched above. L-R Mixed, Highlighter, and Blush.

At £3.69, I thought I would indulge and spend some Boots Advantage Points on it!

I think the pink suited my complexion, and also gave a soft, summery, girlie glow. They also do another colour - Peach Melba, which as the name suggests has a more orangey, peachy tint! You can see it here. (Its also in their 3 for 2)

I really like it, but i'd have to say it would suit an evening look rather than day time, as it can be quite shimmery. You also need to be careful not to over do it! My Revlon was just right for daytime or evening. This creates the perfect look for going out!

So...I have a lovely new highlighter, but alas, the search for the daytime look still goes on!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for reading :)  xx

Some recent buys - 1 - Sleek Original Pallette

Good morning :) I just thought I would share with you some recent buys! After reading the flurry of Sleek Eyeshadow Palette reviews a couple of months ago, I waited for a while for Superdrug to restock on theirs and had a little nosy! After muchos umming and ahhing, I decided to indulge in the 'Original' palette! They were my style of colours and I thought it had a good mix of subtle day wear colours, and summery evening brights.

I love the colours, they are so shimmery, apart from the matt black, and can allow you to create so many looks!

Yes, I know youve all seen it before, but I wanted to share ;)

I played around, as Ive never been that adventurous with eyeshadows - I didnt really know how to mix, but since blogging is full of eyeshadow tips, I had a little go! I created this look for our Engagement party!

I used the gold in the bottomleft as a base, blended with the brown on the bottom (2nd from right) with a smigeof the black in the corners. I also used Primarni liquid eyeliner, and Mybelline Volume Flash mascara in Black.

I loved these pallettes so much! I bought the 'Storm' set for my friend as it is her birthday - I hope she likeys! I also convinced my Mumsie to give it a go - the green complimented her green dress she wore to a wedding the other weekend, and it looked fab against her hazel eyes!

I thought i'd leave you with Jessycat - she likes to get involved! (I think she likes my choice!)

Thanks for reading!

And PS, a thankyou to my few, but appreciated followers!! :) xx
