* September Favourites *

September Favourites!

I just thought I would share my favourites for this month as I have been reaching for the same products :)

17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss in Peach Melba
I love the corally colour of this gloss, and its fab for daytime use, as I tend to only wear lippie when I go out in the evenings

Benefit It Stick
Yes, this was the freebie that the whole world seems to have! It got a bit negelected and I used my Benefit Boing instead for a while, but recently have rediscovered this little gem! Its so light and creamy and easy to apply - I love it!

Mac Bombshell
My all-time fave lippie! Enough said!

Clinique Superbalanced Foundation
This works so well for me, after all the other foundations ive tried, I always end up coming back to this one! Its the perfect coverage - not too light, and not too heavy!

E.L.F Desert Haze
My new fave nailpolish! I love the natural colour of this, which is unusual for me! It looks perfect after 3 coats, and suits the autumn weather perfectly!

Barry M Dazzle Dust - Mushroom & Old Gold
My fave colours this month - nice and neutral with a touch of sparkle!

MAC Bronzer
Im still holding onto the remnants of summer by using my bronzer - my blushers have taken a back seat for a while! This is the perfect shade, not too dark! The boy even commented on how well my tan had lasted, lol! I did admit that it was infact down to MAC..

Trevor Sorbie Straightening Balm
Since my hair has grown a little, its got a little fluffy on the ends - this works so well to calm it down, and has a lovely 'clean' smell to it! I use it on both wet and dry hair. You only need a little so it lasts for ages!

Eyeshadow Brushes
A mix of ELF and QVS (from Superdrug). These are my first real eyeshadow brushes and I love playing around and experimenting!!

What are your faves? Do you like any of mine?

This weeks purchases!

Hi bloogeroonies!

As im desperately procrastinating today, I thought i'd get on with a couple of posts! On the weekend, I popped to Primark and picked up a few things!

Light Grey & Sparkly Snood - £4 (bargain?!)
Fluffy Socks - £2 (I looove these type of socks)
Kabuki Brush - £1.50

I had been after a snood for a while, and this colour is perfect!! It has silver tread running through it with teeny, subtle, sparkly sequins! Now I just need it to get colder so I can justify wearing woolies!

The Kabuki brush is bright pink, I think thats why I bought it really! Its surprisingly soft, and im hoping to buy some translucent powder soon, so I shall save it for that!

On another note, has anyone got this nail polish remover?

It STINKS! Its sooo strong! It leaves a whiffy chemically smell in the room for ages!
Wish I bought the purple one instead...

Thanks for reading lovelies :)

Swatching on a Saturday! Asda & E.L.F

 Aloha Bloggins!

Since ive aquired 6 new nail polishes recently (is that alot?!) I thought I'd do some swatches for you, as ive also had a request for some swatches of the Asda neutral colours!

So here are the new additions!

Left - Right
Mocca Ice, Warrior, Desert Haze, Mint Cream, Mysterious, Hoax.

All were £1.50 :)

First up - the ELF newbies as mentioned in my last post.
They took 3 coats to achieve this colour/coverage, but the colours are fab!
They both dried quickly too!

Next up,
Mocca Ice, Warrior, Mysterious
2 coats here, takes a little while longer to dry than ELF.

And last but not least, Hoax!

This picture doesnt do it justice, its a beautiful vibrant purple, with reddy blue undertones.
It is very different to Mysterious, which is more silver based.

Anyhoo, I hope you likey! What colours do you like?

My first E.L.F Buys :)

Hi bloggeroos!

As I got home yesterday, the postie-man was just walking offf with a parcel for me -luckily I got home just in time, as it turned out to be my ELF order!
It was my very first order! ('Where have you been?!' I hear you cry!)

Well, in all honesty, I was waiting for a discount code on shipping! The other day it was £1 shipping if you spent £10, so I saw my chance!

The goodies:

Eye Blending Sponge, Nail Polish in Mint Cream, Lipstick in the infamous Runway Pink,
Desert Haze Nailpolish, Blending Eye Brush, All Over Colour Stick in Pink Lemonade.

Heres a closer look at the brushes and nailpolish - I didnt want to take them out of the box, haha!

And a looky at the Colour Stick & Lippie!

Now I know youve seen them all before, but you never know who might not have seen them!

Runway pink is the very first Nude colour that I own - I normally dont stray away form my pinks! My faves being MACs Bombshell & Angel. I think Runway Pink might need a little getting used to! It left my lips feeling very soft when I took it off, which is a good sign!

Left - Runway Pink
Right - Colour Stick in Pink Lemonade.
Im yet to give the colour stick a proper try, but im hoping it will be good!

And to finish, a little close up!

Will anybody be indulging in any ELF goodies any time soon?

Unloved makeup items & rubbish buys - what do you do?

Hi bloggers! Before I start, I just want to thank my new followers for, well, following me, I really appreciate it!!

Whilst having a mooch through my makeup when tidying up my room, I came across a few unloved, unused items that rarely see the light of day when it comes to my makeup time.

Now, some things are old, and the hoarder in me cant bare to throw them away. This is probably because I know at one time, I used to like them very much! (Until I get brutal and just chuck it!) But, on the other hand, some items are newish and not used so much!

A couple of examples of products I have like this are these:

Left - 17 Trio In the Nude
Right - 17 Sheer Moisture Foundation in Light.

Now these items were only £4.99 each, so not at all expensive, yet I still feel the need to keep them despite not using them and disliking them!

The eyeshadow - the colours look lovely, but are not particularly pigmented. I feel that they dont look very good when I use them on my eyes, and you can barely see any colour, hence why they have been relegated to the back of the pile.

The foundation - I hate the way this feels on my skin - it makes me feel kind of oily (its hard to describe) and after a few hours my face looks shiny - my clinique has never done this! The upside is that it has SPF 12 in it, so I did mix it with my Clinique for 2 reasons - to make my Clinique last longer, and to add a little handy SPF! But to use on its own - no no.

I have other random buys, and odd toiletries from crapola gift sets that you accumulate..the list goes on.

So, what do you do with your unwanted/crap makeup?!

Is it destined for the bin, do others want it, what if you spent a fortune?

I'd love to hear thoughts!
Thanks for reading, Daisy xxx

A teeny tiny mini giveaway!

Hi bloggers!

Ive decided to give this little lipgloss away, as its a little too light for me, and ive never used this poor soul! Its feeling a little lonely and unloved in my makeup collection at the moment!

* Its 17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss in Pink Ice.  *

Instead of having it sitting in my lipgloss pot forever more, unused and unloved, I thought maybe one of you might like to give it a home?!

It has never been used, and I received it in a free gift set from 17! Its travel size, so its 6ml, comapred to the usual 8ml you get if you bought this in the store!

So, feel free to request rehoming this poor little lipgloss, and if im in a particularly good mood, I might even throw in a couple of extra goodies! (Brand new & purchased by myself of course)

All you need to do is comment saying "I'll rehome your lipgloss" or something along those lines, haha!

I'll leave it open for a week, closing 22nd September, on the off chance that more than one person will want it, although I have no idea how likely this is! I'll then choose a name at random as the winner if more than 1 person enters!

Thanking you for reading :)

George Nail polishes & Accessorize Goodies!

Hi Bloggers!

I just thought i'd share my new Nail Polishes! As im sure you're all aware, Asda have a nice little collection of nail polishes for just £1.50. I'd been eyeing up some Nude shades recently, and needed some purple to go with a dress I have, so I came away with these four:

Left - Right
Hoax, Mysterious, Mocca Ice, Warrior

Hoax has blue/red underones, whereas Myterious has a silvery finish to it.
Mocca Ice is a pale, silvery-champagne - it will need a few coats to give a good finish, but its a lovely alternative to silver! Warrior is much more coppery in colour!
Tip - you need a good top coat to stop chipping with these!

I also popped into Accessorize and got this Silver bag (with handy hidden strap!) for £16. I have a lovely bag which I try and use at the moment for weddings, but its just too small, I cant fit more than 3 things in it!!

I also picked up this cute
little car air freshener for £2 - Couldnt resist!

Does anyone have any recommended colours from the Asda range? Or any other supermarkets in fact?

Thanks for Reading!

Daisy :) xx

* Recent Lustings *

These are the items i've been lusting after this week!

Urban Decay Naked Palette.

This is packed with 12 lovely neutral shades - I want it sooo much! I expect by now that everywhere has sold out - im hoping that it *might* be in stock in Cheltenham when I go up for a wedding this weekend.

Models Own Nail Varnish.

Im so annoyed that I missed their 50% sale - grr! They do have the save £3/£5 offer, and 10% discount on thier facebook page, so I shall have to indulge! Im going to hopefully have a look at the shades in Boots first, and see which works out cheaper!

I want the shades:
*Nude Beige
*Champagne
*Gun Grey
*Deep Purple
*Dusty Mauve

The whole range is here.

MAC Costa Chic Lipstick

Ive seen this on a few blogs, and im very tempted, seeing as my my MAC lippie obsession has recently started! I love their staying powers, and how moisturised my lips feel after applying!

Designer Sunnies

I lusted after a pair of sunnies allll summer, and i'm not sure why I didnt buy any!? (Although im kinda glad, as I bought my laptop instead). I find sunnies really hard to buy - Ive only got a small face, so half of the styles out there dont suit me at all! Ive also seen some nice Quiksilver and Animal ones... ahh the temptation. I think these will be on my Christmas List!
And Something unrelated to makeup..
A new car!

Me and the Fiance have decided to look for new cars, seeing as once we have a whopping great mortgage to pay for, as well as a wedding, we probably won't be able to afford new cars!

Im lusting after either a VW Golf, or a Fiesta (In black or dark grey to be specific!)

So, if anyone fancies winging some money my way, these are the things I would like to buy :)

My first award!

Huge huge thanks to Sophie at http://sophie-lou-j-says.blogspot.com/ who nominated me for this award! I was so happy, but as I was on holilday, I was unable to repost this at the time, so apologies for the delay!

The rules:

1. Once you recieve this award you must post a picture on your blog that is special to you and state why it is special.

2.You must post this award on your blog and thank the lovely person who gave you this award.

3.And last of all...Pass this award on to 5 lovely followers of your choice in appreciation of their follow :)

So, this is my picture. It might seem pretty boring to most people, but this is the little story behind it...

Back in the Easter Hols, my Boyfriend decided that we should visit Stourhead House and Park, in Wiltshire. He had always told me that he went as a child, and would love to go back. So, on 19/04/10 off we went, very nearly ending up miles away due to the SatNav! This picture was my very first view of the park, and its amazing! Little did I know that 10 mins after I took this pic, my boy was going to (very nervously!) pop the question! We sat down for lunch with my fave wine, and he pops out a beautiful white gold ring! It was all so lovley and perfect that I cried!!

So this picture, my very first view of Stourhead, will always remind me of the day of our engagement :) Sorry to be all soppy and mushy!!

Anyhoo - here are my nominations for this award:

Louise @ Affordable Treats

R May A @ Radiant Makeup

Danielle @ All in one Ella

Chloe @ Not From Concentrate

Jenny @ Life is Full of Beautyx

Pass this on if you please, and thanks again to Sophie-Lou-J!

Ins and Outs!

Hi bloggers, my camera is playing up, so instead of trying AGAIN to upload photos, i'll do one without my own photos, and steal them off the internet instead!

* Ins *

* My new laptop - its prettyful and shiney and new (well maybe not pretty, but I love it all the same!). My old one was sooo slow, and I got so fed up that I decided to treat myself! I had £120 of Capital Bonds vouchers (you can spend them in most high street stores) and I used my friends 10% discount card, to get it down in price! :) Now I blog much quicker!

*My new MAC makeup - I think I love it. Enough said I think!

*My kitty-cat getting better - she was quite poorly and stopped eating - after a week of tablets and medicine she's finally better and back to her lovely self again!

*Finding jeans that fit perfectly! Unfortunately they come from American Eagle in America.. I can rarely find ones that are the perfect length for me - 32" are too short, 34" are too long - maybe in a 33"?

* Outs *

* Missing the 50% off Models Own sale whilst I was in America! I want loads of their nail varnishes now! More on this next time!

*Rain - eughhhh - enough said?

*Finding the energy to keep fit and start running again - I need to muster up the drive to get back on my treadmill!

Thanks for reading (If you got this far!)

New Shoesies!

Meet the new additions to my footwear collection :)

They are the 'Cutout Ribbon Heel' from Newlook, arent they pretty!?

They are priced at a very reasonable £22.99, and I believe they also come in a nudey-pink colour!

I love the delicate ribbon lace up, which is a bonus, as it keeps clumsy heel wearers and odd shaped foot owners (ie me) in them! I feel nice and secure in these! They are a little higher than the heels I usually go for (being 5'7 and a half, I am quite tall with heels, and the fiance isnt keen when im taller than his 6'2, hehe!) But I am determined to make sure I can walk in them!!

I think its nice to make a change from black also, but this shade can get away with many outfits and colours!

Now...I just need an excuse to wear them!!

Daisy xx :)
