* NOTW - OPI All That Razz-Berry *

Hi bloggers :)

A couple of weeks ago, I treated myself to a new OPI polish - All That Razz-Berry. From what I could see, its from an old collection, but I managed to find it on Ebay for around £5!

Its a deep pinky-purple rasberry colour, and I love love love it! So much so, i've worn it for the past two weekends!

This is it on my nails - excuse the untidy edges and the state of my nails - they get wrecked at work, and the cold weather is not helping the situation! I took these photos on Saturday morning, after painting them in about 5 mins on Friday night (god bless Seche Vite!). The Butterfly sticker is also from Ebay, and the flower from my trusty Kiss nails set from Superdrug.

Personally, I love the OPI formula - are you a fan? Im liking this shade as its dark enough for winter, but I also feel that this would work in the summer too!

* Lipice Lipcare *

Aloha Bloggers!

I was very kindly sent some Lipice products to test out, review & giveaway! Being winter, my lips can tend to dry out and even crack at the sides if I am not careful, and I need to ensure I keep them moisturized at all times!

Lipice advertise their products as being created using natures finest ingredients to keep your lips soft, healthy and moist.

They come in the following varieties:
Lipice Original
Suncare SPF 25
Strawberry Touch
Original for men
Q10 Anti Wrinkle
Pink Sheen Gloss

They are advertised with these properties and ingredients:

  • Lysine Amino Acid for skin repair and regeneration
  • Soothing Aloe Vera, a natural plant extract
  • Grapeseed for natural moisturisation and vitality
  • Natural Cocoa Shea butter, Jojoba and Castor Oil to enrich & moisten lips
  • Vitamin B5 & E to vitalise lips
  • SPF15 UV filters
  • Approved for use by the Vegetarian Society

I tested the above lipbalms out for a few days, I can say that they are very moisturising and made my lips feel soft and nourished. My personal favourite was the Strawberry stick, due to the lovely smell! The Original has a lovely Cocoa Butter scent (yum!) and the suncare is lemony fresh. This has the added bonus of SPF 25 - so is ideal for holidays and sunny days! The others do have SPF 15 in, which is an added bonus in my opinion.

The gloss is shimmery and lasted a long while, even after 2 cups of tea!

They are due to be stocked in a number of stores such as Tesco, Costcutter, Poundland, and Body World so they should be pretty widely available! The original and strawberry sticks retail at £1.29, For Men, Pink Gloss and Suncare at £1.69, and the anti-wrinkle at £1.99.

Lipice were Kind enough to offer me extra's to giveaway to my readers, so please stay tuned over the next couple of days! I will throw in some extra's also to help beat the winter weather too :)

    * Nails Inc & diet Coke Polishes *

    Hi Ladies!

On the weekend I popped into a large Boots store in hope of getting hold of a couple of Nails Inc polishes as part of the Diet Coke promotion, and luckily, they had them in stock!

    Denim & Heather Grey

I initially only wanted Heather Grey, as im a sucker for shades of purple, but Denim caught my eye too so I decided to grab that one too!
The Caramel & Plum werent really for me so I gave them a miss.

Heather Grey is a colour exactly as it says on the tin (bottle)! Its a muted purple with a hint of grey, perfect for a winter colour - I love it and cant wait to wear it out properly! It also dried quickly. The swatch is with 1 coat too!

Denim is a blue shade with a hint of teal about it - I think this will work well with a white nail art sticker or with silver tips! (or vice versa)

I found it a teeny bit boring on its own, so tried it with a hint of silver glitter...

I think this looks fab! I will definately be wearing this combo on a weekend very soon!

Did you go for any colours? There were only a few of each left so im not sure if they are going to be hard to get hold of! Let me know your thoughts on these colours!

    NOTW - OPI Elephantastic Pink!

    Evening ladies!

Just a quick post to show you my chosen nail colour for the weekend just gone!

Every Friday evening after work, I paint my nails without fail! The Boy even commented the other week - "You know its the weekend when you paint your nails!" and if I dont have any on for one reason for another, he asks if im feeling ok! What impression do I give?!

Anyhoo, after the rain and drearyness of last week, I decided to go with a bright nail - OPI's Elephantastic Pink!

Its an almost 'flamingo' pink, with a hint of coral in.

I also added a little nail art flower to my nail to jazz it up a bit!
In real life the picture with the most accurate colour is the top one :)

    *edit*
Since Zoe asked how I did the flower, I thought i'd add a pic of the set I used - Its a nail art sticker & gems set from Superdrug (I think it was about £2.99)

So far, I have to say my favourite nail polishes are OPI and Nails Inc, even though they tend to be more moola than your regular drug store polishes. I love the formula and the quick drying tendancy they have. I may have bought another OPI polish this weekend, so that may feature on next weeks NOTW hehe!

Do you love OPI too? Would you wear this shade?

Fabulous & Models Own + a Models Own Mascara up for grabs!

    Hi bloggers!

As most of you are aware, the News of the World's Sunday mag, Fabulous, collaborated with Models Own and are giving away a mini makeup kit with 2 tokens. I managed to get my hands on one today, and thought i'd show you a few snaps!

This is the little kit you get:

    Gold Rush eyeshadow Duo

This is the shadow swatched quite heavily - I would definately recommend using a primer as this came off my fingers very easily with very little effort. I love the colours though!

    Eyeliner
The applicator has a stiff end rather than a soft brush. It has a wet look, and seems pretty indesructable! Ive rubbed it with a wet and dry finger, and its not budged so far!

Handy eyelash curlers and pink tweezers!
I think the tweezers are FAB! Im quite picky with tweezers, but these are easy to use and grab every eyebrow hair with ease - thumbs up!

    And finally, the mascara.

Unfortunately, this mascara has fibres in it, which do not tend to agree with my contact lenses, which brings me on to the title of this post!

If anyone would like this mascara, then please pop a comment below, as I would hate to see it wasted in the bottom of my makeup bag!! I will happily pop it in the post to a new home! It hasnt been used, just opened for the photos.

Has anyone else got their mitts on this kit? I think its fab value for just £2! (the cost of the 2 papers!)

    Loving the Naked-ness!

    Evening Ladies :)

Just a quick post today, as most of you have already read about 1000 posts about this already!!
I was lucky enough to eventually get hold of one the Urban Decay Naked Palettes in December from Beautybay.com, after spotting a tweet saying they were back in stock! I had been stalking the Debenhams and Boots websites religiously by they never seemed to be in stock. I convinced the boy that this could be one of my Christmas presents, and this certainly did not disappoint!

    A few pics...

It comes with a double ended eyeliner (In the shades Zero and Whiskey), and a mini Primer Potion:

If anyone would like swatches then please let me know!

Personally, this is the best £27 that I (the boy) has ever spent on makeup! Its lasting power is amazing, and bettered by the use of the primer potion. It stays put all day, the pigmentation is fab, and the colour choice allows such an array of looks for both day and night.

Is anyone else in love with the Naked pallette?

    * * 17 Glitter Liners * *

    Evening ladies!

Tonight I'm sharing one of my January Sales bargains from Boots, a set of 3 17 Glitter Liners.
These were half price, so £6 down to £3, and what a bargain they were!

I had been eyeing up Collection 2000's Glam Crystals range for a while, but whenever I swatched them in store, I was always a little unsure whether to buy one. Seeing as I could get 3 of these for the price of 1 full size liner, I decided to purchase these little ones!

As you can see, the set includes a gold, silver and teal/turquoise liner.

    Swatchy swatchy...

    Without flash (natural light)

    With flash

Each swatch is of 2 swipes of the little liner brush.
I am pleasantly pleased with this little set. The handy size is convenient for me, as I am a little unsure whether I would use a whole glitter liner before getting bored with it/forgetting about it/it drying up! I also like the selection of colours - classic gold and silver for smokey eyes, and a bright teal for a bit of glitz and glam!

Has anyone else tried these? What are your favourite glitter liners? Are there any that people would recommend?
